Serving Labor Throughout the Northeast
Northeast Labor Strategies is based in Massachusetts and provides union-side labor relations and representation services throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut, with a focus on public safety, healthcare, municipal employees, and independent bargaining units.
Our services include collective bargaining, grievance administration, arbitration advocacy where permitted, disciplinary representation, contract administration, labor-management relations, strategic consultation, and union leadership support.
Representation Built From Experience
Northeast Labor Strategies was founded on a simple belief: labor organizations deserve knowledgeable, responsive, and strategic representation.
Founder and Principal Labor Representative Ryan Wilder brings years of firsthand experience in public-sector labor relations, union leadership, collective bargaining, grievance administration, disciplinary matters, contract interpretation, and labor-management relations.
As an active municipal law-enforcement supervisor and longtime union leader, Ryan has worked directly through many of the same challenges union presidents and executive boards face every day — evaluating grievances, interpreting collective bargaining agreements, preparing for negotiations, addressing disciplinary matters, responding to changes in working conditions, developing bargaining strategies, working with labor attorneys, and deciding when an issue should be resolved, challenged, or taken further.
That experience became the foundation for Northeast Labor Strategies.
Our Approach Is Built Around Principles:
Preparation
Strong representation begins long before anyone enters a hearing room or bargaining session.
Strategy
Every grievance does not need arbitration, every disagreement does not require escalation, and every management proposal should not be evaluated in isolation. Good labor representation requires understanding the larger objective.
Responsiveness
Union leaders should be able to reach their representative when an issue develops — not days or weeks later when the problem has already grown.
Professional Advocacy
Effective labor relations can be firm without being reckless. The goal is to advocate aggressively for the bargaining unit while maintaining the credibility necessary to negotiate successfully.
Long-Term Representation
The objective is not simply winning today's disagreement. It is strengthening the union's contractual rights, institutional knowledge, bargaining position, and ability to represent its membership over time.
